Chinese President Xi Jinping has congratulated John Dramani Mahama on his victory in the December 7 polls. He reiterated Ghana’s strategic partnership with China, being one of the first countries in sub-Saharan Africa to establish diplomatic ties with China.
In a message, President Xi Jinping said China-Ghana friendship has a long history, which has been strengthened over time. In recent years, bilateral relations between the two countries have enjoyed a sound momentum of development, with fruitful practical cooperation in various fields.
President Xi said he attaches great importance to the development of China-Ghana relations and stands ready to work with President-elect John Mahama to carry forward the traditional friendship.
