The National Democratic Congress (NDC), has promised to offer better conditions of service to workers if voted into power.

The party gave the assurance in a statement issued to mark May Day. It says the NDC is proud of its relationship with workers and encourages them to stand tall in their unflinching loyalty to the cause of Ghana.

The party further assures workers that a future NDC government will be committed to better handling of the economy and reward workers their due remuneration in recognition of their sterling role in lifting high the flag of Ghana.

The statement describes this as a non-negotiable assurance the party owes workers to enable them to remain true to their faith in serving the country.

It noted that the COVID-19 pandemic, which resulted in a lockdown of some parts of the country last year, led to a number of job losses and therefore urge workers to give off their best in the wake of the challenges caused by the pandemic.
