The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearer election has concluded at polling centres nationwide, with delegates casting their votes to choose the party’s candidate for the 2028 general elections. About 211,849 delegates were expected to participate in the process.
The five aspirants contesting the top position are former Vice President and 2024 NPP flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia; former Assin North MP Kennedy Ohene Agyapong; former Food and Agriculture Minister and MP for Abetifi Dr. Bryan Yaw Acheampong; former Education Minister and MP for Bosomtwe Dr. Yaw Adutwum; and former Presidential Spokesperson Kwabena Agyei Agyapong.
