PNC to hold National Congress on 26th September

The Council of Elders of PNC says it has decided to intervene to resolve the impasse between the National Executive Committee and the Leader of the Party regarding the dates for filing of nominations and fees for the party’s impending congress prior to the 2020 General Election.

A statement signed by the Chairman of the Council of Elders Colonel Yuri Bayorbor says per the directive of the National Executive Committee, nominations shall remain open in all Regions for aspirants who are contesting for positions of the party till the 31st of this month.

Also, submissions of forms by the aspirants must be done by close of work on Monday, September,7.

The Filing fees are; Flagbearer position: GHC30,000, National Chairperson: GHC20,000, National Vice Chairperson: GHC10,000, General Secretary: GHC10,000, National Organizer: GHC5,000, National Women’s Organizer: GHC5,000, National Treasurer GHC5,000 and National Youth Organizer:GHC5,000.

The Council of Elders has slated the 26th of September for the National Congress of the party to elect its Presidential candidate for the 2020 General election and National Executive Officers.
