The Eminent Persons Group of Religious Leaders of the Christian Council of Ghana has added its voice to calls for peace in this election year.

Chairman of the Group, Rt. Rev. Prof. J.O.Y Mante, told GBC’s Radio Ghana that not only are leaders of religious groups praying for peace and advising the political parties and all actors involved but also talking to their followers to foster peace and not follow politics blindly.

He said religion is not only about spiritual welfare but also the totality of human existence.

They have therefore set up peace Ambassadors to promote peace in this election year.
