Election 2020: Smaller political parties poised to cause major upset

GBC’s Radio Ghana has been talking to some smaller political parties to gauge their preparations for this year’s elections ahead of the EC’s announcement of qualified and disqualified candidates after nominations were filed last week.

The parties say they are confident of qualifying and look forward to the announcement by the EC.

National Secretary, of the PPP, Paa Kow Ackon said the Party will launch its manifesto and outdoor Kofi Asamoah-Siaw as running mate to Presidential Candidate Brigitte Dzogbenuku on Saturday, October 17.

Flagbearer of LPG, Kofi Akpaloo said his Party satisfied all requirements involved in filing nominations to contest as Presidential Candidate and expects to sail through to win the 2020 elections.

General Secretary of the NDP, Alhaji Mohammed Frimpong said the Party has lined up a number of activities for its flagbearer after the EC makes public qualified candidates to contest this year’s elections.
