The People’s National Convention (PNC) says it will win five seats in the northern part of the country in the upcoming general election.

It said it was targeting seats from Sissala East, Talensi, Pusiga, Builsa South and Nadowli.

The PNC General Secretary, Ms Janet Asana Nabila, said this in an interview said the Party was fully prepared to win this year’s elections.

She said the northern part of the country was its stronghold and that the Party was strategizing to make big impact at the December polls, winning the presidential and a number of seats in Parliament.

Ms Nabila said the Party was well prepared for the polls with monitoring teams across the country.

“Ashanti Region seems to be the largest region in the country, and we have assigned three national executives there.”

She said the Party had 39 parliamentary candidates for this year’s elections and had assigned two polling agents to each polling station.
