Public educated on Aflatoxins in food crops

About 500 farmers and stakeholders in the agriculture sector in the Bono Region and its environs have been sensitised to the dangers of Aflatoxin consumption by humans and animals.

The Sensitisation was done at a workshop organised by the Ghana Standards Authority, GSA, in collaboration with Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa, AGRA.

The sensitisation forms part of the GSA’s nationwide campaign dubbed, ”National Aflatoxin Sensitisation and Management NASAM Project, which aims at ensuring improved production and handling of grains in the country in a manner that guarantees food safety and security.
