Ghanaian star Antoine Semenyo credited Manchester City’s razor-sharp defense and ruthless attack for their stunning 4-0 demolition of Liverpool in the FA Cup quarter-final on April 4, 2026.

The winger, who bagged City’s third goal in the 50th minute via a pinpoint Rayan Cherki assist, lit up TNT Sports post-match: “The team was flawless, building straight off our Carabao Cup high.”

Semenyo, a £64 million January signing, spotlighted the squad’s post-Carabao Cup huddle, where players vowed to amp up goals while locking down the backline. “We got back from the final and said: score big, defend as one. Today, we nailed it perfectly,” he beamed, eyes on the semis.

Erling Haaland’s hat-trick stole headlines, but Semenyo praised the unsung heroes, like keeper James Trafford’s clutch penalty stop; that sealed the shutout against bitter rivals. This masterclass keeps City roaring in their silverware hunt.

The 28-year-old’s strike, his latest since joining from Bournemouth, underscores his seamless fit into Pep Guardiola’s machine. Semenyo’s joy rippled through: “Feels incredible. Everyone stepped up across the pitch.”

With Wembley dreams alive, Semenyo’s words rally City: unity breeds dominance, and they’re primed for more glory this season.
