Sogakope killing: ¢10,000.00 bounty placed on Assemblyman’s killers

The South Tongu District Assembly in the Volta Region has placed a ¢10,000.00 bounty on the head of the killers of the assembly member for the Sogakope South electoral area, Marcus Adzahli.

Mr. Adzahli was allegedly murdered by unknown persons at Toklopo near Sogakope in the early hours of Sunday, March 1.

The Volta Regional Minister, Dr. Archibald Letsa announced the reward for information leading to the arrest of those behind the horrific murder, when he led some staff of the Volta Regional Coordinating Council and the South Tongu District Assembly to commiserate with the family of the deceased.

He asked elders in the community to engage the youth to allow security officers to do their work.

Assembly Member for Hlevi Toklokpo electoral area, Innocent Gbedzi said they are ready to assist the police in investigations and underlined the need for the Police to respond swiftly to emergency situations.

The Adzahli family head, Torgbi Adeti, commended the Regional Minister, the Assembly and Government for the support and pleaded with the police to go to every length to bring the perpetrators to book.
