Minister for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, has called on Ghanaians to unite behind the Black Stars as they approach the final round of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
With two critical matches remaining, Adams emphasized the importance of national support to boost the team’s morale and push them towards securing a spot in the global tournament.
Ghana is set to face the Central African Republic in Matchday 9 and Comoros in Matchday 10. These fixtures will determine the team’s qualification fate, and the Minister expressed strong confidence in the squad’s resilience and determination to succeed.
The Black Stars began their training camp in Casablanca on Sunday as they prepare for the upcoming encounter on Wednesday, October 8, 2025.
Currently, Ghana leads their qualifying group with 19 points, holding a three-point advantage over second-placed Madagascar.
This strong position makes the final two games pivotal for confirming Ghana’s place at the World Cup. Minister Adams highlighted the team’s fighting spirit and the promising outlook ahead of these decisive matches.
“Our Black Stars have shown incredible determination and skill throughout this campaign,” he said.
Following the first away fixture against the Central African Republic, the Black Stars will return to Ghana to conclude the campaign against Comoros.
The final match is scheduled for Sunday, October 12, 2025, at the Accra Sports Stadium, where fans are expected to show strong support and rally behind the national team.
Kofi Adams further urged all Ghanaians to stand united and encourage the Black Stars during this important phase, reminding the public that collective enthusiasm and backing could be key to achieving qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
“I am optimistic about their ability to secure qualification and bring glory to Ghana. With your support through prayers, cheers, and positive thoughts, we can lift their spirits and motivate them to succeed”; he mentioned.
