The Ministry of Roads and Highways has announced to the general Ghanaian public through the Ghana Highway Authority that it will be embarking on major repair works on the approaches to the Butre River Bridge at Ewusiejoe near Takoradi.
Due to the repair works that will be carried out on the road, users will experience closure of the Ewusiejoe section of the Takoradi-Agona Highway. The road will be completely closed from Midnight of Friday, February 23 to Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at 4 A.M.
In a statement signed by the Public Affairs Division of the Ghana Highways Authority, Motorists who travel between Takoradi and Agona Junction and beyond and vice versa are to take note that there will be no vehicular movements and access on the Bridge while the repair works open.
The Authority has therefore provided alternative routes to help Commuters and road users during the road closure period.
