“To my Vice President, I say thank you. I could not have wished for a better assistant to help me bear the heavy load Ghanaians have entrusted to me”.
He also added that today was not a declaration of triumph but a reaffirmation of purpose stressing that progress is not measured by numbers or charts or diagrams but by hope that has been restored and trust that has been rebuilt.
In a light moment, he also joked that he would express his gratitude to the First Lady, Lordina Mahama when they returned home.
