The portion of the ring road, right in front of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, GBC, is becoming notorious for pedestrian knock-downs. Even though there is a zebra crossing, which typically gives priority to pedestrians, many drivers are unwilling to stop to allow people to walk across the road. Sometimes, pedestrians are knocked down and killed or maimed, as they try to cross, because the vehicles do not give way.
