The Accra International Conference Centre came alive on 15th November 2025 as the Sport Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) hosted its prestigious 2025 SWAG Awards, a night dedicated to celebrating excellence, dedication, and the enduring spirit of sportsmanship.

This year’s ceremony gathered an inspiring assembly of Ghana’s sporting fraternity, with the presence of distinguished dignitaries adding an air of grace and national pride. The Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyeman, led the entourage of special guests, accompanied by the Minister of Sports and Recreation, Hon. Kofi Iddie Adams. Their attendance underscored the government’s commitment to honouring and elevating sports excellence in the country.




The President of SWAG, Kwabena Yeboah, stood alongside other prominent sports leaders including Yaw Ampofo Ankrah, President of the National Sports Authority (NSA), as they celebrated athletes, coaches, administrators and sports organizations for their remarkable achievements.
