After an impressive campaign, Ampem Darkao Ladies’ unique duo, Comfort Yeboah and Jennifer Owusuaa, have been named in the 2023 CAF women’s Champions League Team of the Tournament.
Comfort Yeboah began the tournament on an impressive note, which saw her score two goals for her side. She played most of the games as a right back but still managed to be the main target in front of goal for the Techiman-based club.
A highlight of her remarkable performance came against ASFAR Club in their opening game of the tournament, when she set her team’s momentum alive for the competition.
Jennifer Owusuaa, who also kept her precipitant along with Comfort Yeboah and featured in all of Ampem Darko Ladies’ games, saw her score from 30 yards out against Sporting Club Casablanca. Her goal was arguably the best goal of the tournament.
