Black Queens kicked out of 2019 All African Games

Confederation of Africa Football, CAF has overlooked Ghana’s senior national women’s team, Black Queens, for this year’s All African Games.

The continent’s football governing body rejected the West African side during the draw for the African Games to be held in Rabat 2019 Football (Men, Women), conducted Monday, June 10, 2019 in Cairo.

Surprisingly, Ghana did not make the list of qualified countries per the rules governing the tournament despite their recent participation in the Wafu tournament in La Cote d’Ivoire where they finished third.

Confederation of African football picked all countries that qualified to the 2018 Total African Women’s Cup Of Nations with the exception of hosts country Ghana.

All teams that qualified for the 2018 Awcon were given an automatic ticket except Ghana who made the tournament as hosts, losing their spot to Morocco, as hosts of the All African Games.

A deep throat source says this was not decided few months ago and the FAs involved were duly informed about the development.
