A Sports Business Professional & former FIFA Marketing Consultant, Mr. Neil Armstrong Mortagbe is advocating what he termed “Proper orientation” for Football Club Administrators.

According to him, till Football Administrators get things done properly, the Ghana Premier League (GPL) will continue to suffer sponsorship draught.

Speaking on the ”Saving Our Passion”, on GTV Sports + on March 3, 2022, Mr. Armstrong hinted that some negative attitude on the part of Football Administrators and to a large extent players both on and off the field is the reason the GPL has been without a sponsorship.

He recounted how in the past companies which invested heavily in terms of sponsorship struggled to get match tickets.

“There were some instances where officials of these companies’ queue for hours to receive match tickets, how can this posture encourage other companies to pump in money? he asked.

“Players should dress well and uniformly in branded sponsors products and logos to give the sponsors the mileages they want for their investment”. Mr. Armstrong reiterated.
