Ghana’s U-20 women’s football team, the Black Princesses, now knows their path to the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, set to be hosted in Poland.

The team, aiming to make their eighth straight appearance at the global tournament, will begin their journey in the second round of qualifiers after receiving a bye in the first round. They will face the winner of the match between Togo and Tunisia.

If they succeed, the Princesses will take on either Eswatini or South Africa in the third round. Victories in these two rounds will secure a spot in the final phase of qualifiers.

The qualification process starts in May 2025, but Ghana’s campaign will only begin in September.

At the 2024 World Cup in Colombia, the Black Princesses exited at the group stage. This time, they are determined to go further on the global stage.
