Premier League outfit Brighton & Hove Albion have joined the chase for FC Nordsjaelland’s sensational Ghanaian midfielder Caleb Yirenkyi, the 19-year-old versatile talent who has caught the eye of Europe’s top clubs.

Since transferring from Ghana’s Right to Dream academy to the Danish side in March 2024, Yirenkyi has exploded onto the scene, making nearly 40 appearances over two seasons and earning eight caps for the Black Stars.

In the current campaign alone, he has featured in 17 games, netting once and providing four assists.

Previously linked with Arsenal, Yirenkyi now tops Brighton’s wishlist despite his contract running until summer 2030.

The Seagulls’ interest aligns with their successful pipeline from Nordsjaelland, having previously snapped up wingers Simon Adingra and Ibrahim Osman, both Right to Dream graduates.

Yirenkyi’s blend of midfield dynamism and international pedigree has built a long list of admirers across Europe.

His seamless step-up to senior and international football underscores his potential as one of Ghana’s brightest exports.

Brighton’s scouting savvy could pave the way for another bargain deal, but competition remains fierce for the player hailed as a future star in African football.
