The Federation of International Football Associations, FIFA has asked Ghana to withdraw the petition to start liquidation process of the GFA.
It says in a statement that if by Monday, 27the August 2018, the liquidation process is not withdrawn, Ghana will be suspended with immediate effect.
FIFA further says the suspension will only be lifted when the petition is withdrawn and it is given a written proof.
The letter released by the Federation of International Football Association further stresses that Ghana faces a ban should the country fail to meet up the deadline given.
This would eventually leave Ghana out of member associations of the World Football governing body hence the West African country will be missing out on the upcoming FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup as well as the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Ghana will further be stripped off its hosting rights for the upcoming Africa Women’s Nations Cup which comes off later this year.
Anas’ documentary has already led to the provisional suspension of former Ghana Football Association President Kwesi Nyantakyi as well as several football match officials.
