The Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) has confirmed that the highly anticipated Top Four Tournament for the 2024/25 football season will be held at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.
The tournament, which will kick off on August 20, was initially slated to take place at Baba Yara Stadium and subsequently moved to Accra Sports Stadium before the latest change.

Reports indicate that the National Sports Authority made the decision to shift the venue to the University of Ghana Sports Stadium because Accra Sports Stadium will be reserved for an important FIFA World Cup qualifier between Ghana and Mali.
This crucial qualifier match is scheduled for September 4 -8 , 2025, amid Ghana’s quest to secure a spot in the upcoming World Cup tournament.
The Accra Sports Stadium, known for hosting international fixtures, will prioritize the World Cup qualifier, making it unavailable to host the Top Four tournament as originally planned.
Official sources have assured that the Accra Sports Stadium will subsequently be available for the competition once the international fixture is completed.
The Top Four tournament features the top finishers from last season’s Ghana Premier League Bibiani GoldStars, Heart of Lions, Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak.
The competition serves as vital preparation for the clubs ahead of the league’s resumption. The 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season is slated to begin on the weekend of September 12.
