Inaki Wiliams has been getting his name on the scoresheet for his club, Athletic Club. The Ghanaian scored once again on Sunday to secure a 3:2 victory for his side against Villarreal.
Inaki, who has had a very difficult spell in the black stars shirt in front of goal, doesn’t feel that same pressure with Athletic Club. He has netted five goals and provided three assists in 12 league matches for Athletic Club.
Nico Williams, brother of Inaki, also made a mark by getting his name on the scoresheet with a long-range shot. Both brothers have been superb for the Basque club.
Despite all this impressive performance from Inaki at club level, his performance with the national team has been a questionable one. In his last 11 appearances with the Black Stars, he has failed to get the numbers.
After going down by three goals in the early minutes of the game, Villarreal got some momentum in the dying minutes with two quick goals, but that was enough to secure their comeback.
