Manchester United have officially completed the signing of Benjamin Šeško from RB Leipzig, securing the Slovenia international on a five-year contract running until June 2030.
The 22-year-old forward has rapidly emerged as one of Europe’s brightest young talents, boasting the highest goal tally among players under 23 in Europe’s top five leagues over the past two seasons.
During the 2024-25 campaign, Šeško was instrumental for RB Leipzig, netting 21 goals and providing six assists.
His consistent performances have not gone unnoticed on the international stage, where he has earned 41 caps and scored 16 goals for Slovenia since making history as his nation’s youngest-ever debutant in 2021.
His blend of pace, power, and goal-scoring instinct makes him a coveted asset for any top club.
Jason Wilcox, Manchester United’s Director of Football, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition, praising Šeško’s unique combination of physicality and speed.
Wilcox emphasized that extensive data analysis confirmed the striker’s qualities and mindset are perfectly aligned with the ethos and ambitions of Manchester United.
The club believes Šeško will develop into a world-class player under the guidance of manager Ruben Amorim and the club’s performance team.
Šeško himself conveyed excitement about joining a club with such rich history and a bright future.
“The history of Manchester United is obviously very special, but what really excites me is the future,” he said.
He praised the project philosophy and positive, family-like environment at United, expressing confidence that it is the ideal setting for him to reach his full potential and compete for major trophies.
This latest signing underscores Manchester United’s intent to build a squad capable of challenging for the biggest honors in football once again.
