Meme Falconer, head coach of the Ghana Basketball Team is optimistic the country will qualify for AFROBASKET 2021, KIGALI.
Ghana is housed in group E with Egypt, Morocco and Uganda. The best three (3) will qualify from the group.
According to Mr. Basketball, 65 percent of the team are foreign-based and will be merged with the creme de la creme of the locally-based players.
Speaking on GTV SPORTS+ Morning Show STUDIO 5, Meme stressed that he is hoping government gives the team a listening ear and supports them in their quest to qualify for AFROBASKET for the first time in the nation’s history.
He appealed to corporate Ghana for sponsorship and support.
He also paid tribute to late legend Kobe Bryant, Gianna and seven others who perished in last Sunday’s chopper crash.
He spoke of the impact that MAMBA has had on Basketball in Ghana and kids all over the world.
