The National Para Athletics Association, in collaboration with the National Paralympic Committee (NPC) of Ghana, has continued its nationwide talent identification initiative aimed at discovering and nurturing new para athletes across the country.
The second edition of the Zone 2 Talent Identification Programme took place at the Ho Sports Stadium in the Volta Region on Saturday, 30 August 2025. More than 54 prospective athletes from Ho and the surrounding communities took part in the programme.

The athletes were taken through warm-up exercises and trials in track and field events led by coaches Sowah and Botsyo Nkegbe. About 14 participants who demonstrated exceptional potential were selected and will later be enrolled in a national training programme designed to develop their skills for future participation in both national and international competitions.
The association expressed appreciation for the continued support of the NPC and its president, Samson Deen.
