Ghanaian talents Antoine Semenyo and Mohammed Kudus have been nominated for the English Premier League Player of the Week after their outstanding performances in matches last weekend.
Kudus played a key role for Tottenham Hotspur, scoring and assisting as they secured a vital 2-1 victory away at Leeds United at Elland Road.
Semenyo was instrumental in Bournemouth’s comeback win against Fulham, netting a brace and providing an assist to help his team turn around a deficit and claim a 3-2 victory.
Their impressive displays earned both players spots in the Premier League Team of the Week and put them in the running for the prestigious Player of the Week award for matchday seven.
Other nominees for the accolade include Chelsea’s Moises Caicedo, Manchester United’s Benjamin Sesko, Arsenal’s Declan Rice, Everton’s Jack Grealish, Donyell Malen of Aston Villa, and Bruno Guimaraes of Newcastle United.
The competition highlights the high level of performance among some of the league’s top players during the weekend fixtures.Meanwhile, both Semenyo and Kudus have traveled to Morocco to join their Ghana Black Stars teammates for an upcoming World Cup qualifier against the Central African Republic.
Ghana stands on the brink of securing their qualification for next year’s tournament with a victory in this crucial match.
Ghana’s national team is determined to seal their spot in the World Cup before facing their final qualifier against the Comoros Islands.
