After an eventful 120 minutes of a goalless draw between Egypt and Senegal in the Final of the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cameroon, Senegal have been crowned first-time champions of the AFCON 2021.

They won on 4-2 Penalties.

Massive celebrations and jubilation are expected in Senegal in the coming days with their maiden AFCON win.

A disappointment for Egypt, which would have been their 8th time to pick Trophy.

Ivory Coast to host AFCON 2023

The next country to host the AFCON would be Ivory Coast. Ivory Coast 2023 will be followed by Guinea 2025.
