Kenya’s Faith Kipyegon continued her remarkable dominance in middle-distance running by winning her fourth world title in the 1500 metres at the 2025 World Athletics Championships in Tokyo. 

Kipyegon finished the race with an impressive time of 3:52.15, narrowly outpacing her compatriot Dorcus Ewoi in a thrilling finish.

Kipyegon demonstrated her tactical brilliance and exceptional endurance, maintaining a strong pace throughout the race before delivering a powerful sprint in the final meters. 

Her winning time solidifies her reputation as one of the greatest 1500m runners in history, further cementing Kenya’s strength in distance events.

Dorcus Ewoi pushed hard to challenge her teammate, finishing just behind Kipyegon, showcasing the impressive depth of Kenyan talent in the event.

The fierce competition between the two added excitement to the final stages of the race, highlighting a new generation of Kenyan middle-distance stars. Australia’s Jess Hull managed to hold on for third place with a solid time of 3:55.16, fending off strong challenges from other competitors.

Hull’s performance marks a significant achievement for Australian athletics, earning her a spot on the podium at a major global championship. With this victory, Faith Kipyegon has once again proved her consistency and class on the world stage.
