Courier companies and individual delivery riders across Ghana have been urged to register on the Integrated Courier and Logistics Management System – Ghana (iCOLMS-GH), a new digital platform designed to streamline operations and enhance regulatory compliance.

The platform, launched by the Minister for Communications, Digital Technology and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, aims to modernise the courier and logistics sector while ensuring safety, trust, and accountability in the rapidly growing e-commerce industry.

The Minister said operators now have a 19-day grace period, from March 12 to March 31, 2026 to register and integrate their operations onto the platform before enforcement begins on April 1, 2026.

“Within these 19 days, whether you operate as a company or as a single delivery rider, you must register on the iCOLMS-GH platform,” he emphasised. “Failure to comply will attract regulatory sanctions. This time there will be no excuses. The system is live, the process is digital, and enforcement will follow.”

The Minister explained that iCOLMS-GH provides a fully digital and paperless licensing regime, enabling operators to apply for, renew, and verify their regulatory status online. The system also integrates with Ghana.GOV and the National Identification Authority, with plans to integrate with the Traffitech-GH platform of the Ghana Police Service for enhanced verification and compliance monitoring.

Mr Nartey George described iCOLMS certification as a “badge of professionalism and accountability” and encouraged operators to use the platform to strengthen their credibility and public trust.

Operators have been advised to complete registration via the PCSRC portal (www.pcsrc.gov.gh), USSD code 928007#, or by sending “Hi” to the WhatsApp line 0596111611 for guidance on simless registration.

The Acting Executive Secretary of PCSRC, Cosmas Mweyang Anpengnuo, said the system will help operators integrate their internal systems digitally, improving efficiency and enabling real-time monitoring by the regulator.

Ghana Police Traffic Coordinator, Alexander Kwaku Obeng, assured that the Police Service will support operators in complying with regulations while cracking down on unlicensed activities.

Officials say the platform represents a major step toward modernising operations, improving service delivery, and building a safer, more professional courier and logistics sector in Ghana.
