Effective implementation of cybersecurity measures is particularly challenging today because there are more devices than people, while Cyber attackers, also known as Hackers, are becoming more innovative. In the digital era, private information is crucial but more vulnerable than ever before.

Stories about ID theft and data breaches abound, with the effects being felt by millions of consumers.

While companies and institutions are constantly working to protect themselves with increasing security measures, cyber criminals are conversely working to countermand these measures.

To help the Youth outwit these crooks, the National Cyber Security Center (NCSC) of the Ministry of Communication has held a sensitization Seminar for staff and students of the Ahafoman Senior High Technical School in Goaso, the Ahafo Regional Capital.

The event, which forms part of the 2019 National Cyber Security Awareness Month, focused on raising awareness on cyber security threats and related advisories as well as education on online ethics.
