The Ministry of Transport is finalizing moves to legalize the operation of motor bikes popularly known as ‘okada’ for commercial purposes.
This is to facilitate easy access to unmotorable places in the hinterlands.
The Eastern Regional Director of the National Road Safety Commission, Bawa Ghamasah, said this at a road safety education programme at Nsawam.
He advised the motor riders against the use of illicit drugs which they claim give them energy to work for longer hours.
