New Zealand’s PM stayed calm during an earthquake on live TV

New Zealand has been hit by five point six magnitude earthquake. Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern who was being interviewed live on TV when the quake struck was briefly troubled but went ahead with the interview saying she was in a secure place and not under any hanging lights.

The earthquake struck about 90 kilometers north of the capital, Wellington and was felt across the country.

No damage or injuries were reported. New Zealand sits on the Pacific Ring of Fire zone of seismic activity, so is regularly hit by earthquakes.

Its buildings are designed to withstand such tremors.
