The Office of the Attorney-General and Ministry of Justice has presented ten 4-Wheel vehicles to all its regional offices.
The Minister for Justice and Attorney-General Ms. Gloria Akuffo said the vehicles will help ease the work of the regional offices.
She said, on a tour of the Ministry’s regional offices when she assumed office, it was evident that there were many difficulties which impeded work.
The Minister said her office is working to resolve some if not all of their problems.
Funding for the purchase, she says came from proceeds of crime amounting to 900,000 dollars.
Ms. Gloria Akuffo encouraged the regions to ensure the maintenance of the cars for a longer life span.
Apart from the vehicles, Ms. Akuffo said her Ministry has repaired some broken toilet facilities at the Ministry’s headquarters and also refurbished some offices that were completely inhabitable.
