The Bureau of National Intelligence (BNI) has arrested four individuals allegedly linked to the Power Distribution Services (PDS) as part of ongoing investigations into the transfer of large sums of money believed to belong to the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG).
An update posted on Facebook by Minister of State in charge of Government Communication, Felix Ofosu Kwakye stated that the arrest was made last week.
The individuals identified as Philip Ayensu, Viraj Phat, Sophia Korkor, and Justice Menka-Premoh were reportedly picked up last week to assist with investigations into the financial transactions under scrutiny.
According to sources familiar with the matter, the arrests form part of efforts by security and investigative authorities to trace and verify the movement of funds suspected to be associated with ECG.
The four suspects have since been granted bail while investigations continue into the circumstances surrounding the alleged transactions.
