Project aimed at developing innovative gardening systems launched in Accra

A project dubbed My Garden, My Health, My Wealth which is an Urban gardening project at Nima and Maamobi has been launched in Accra.

The project is aimed at developing innovative gardening systems where people can grow their own fruits and vegetables for consumption with less or no land.

About 150 households in the selected communities have been targeted for the project.

Speakers at the programme emphasised the many health benefits associated with growing one’s own food especially fruits and vegetables.
