NCCE to undertake mass education on implementation of Right to Information Law

The National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), says it will undertake mass education, especially for public institutions to help complement government’s efforts at the implementation of the Right to Information Law.

The Law was passed in March 2019 after almost twenty years of advocacy.

The implementation was started in January 2020 and after eight months, some people continue to question its slow implementation.

At the 7th Virtual Anti-Corruption, Rule of Law, Public Accountability, ARAP, national dialogue which focused on the Right to Information Law in Accra, Chairperson of the NCCE, Madam Josephine Nkrumah was not happy with the difficulty in accessing information adding that such hindrances breed corruption.

Madam Nkrumah pledged that the commission will go all out to make implementation easier.
