Vice Presidential candidate of the NDC, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, has raised concern about the growing state of insecurity in the country.

She said the situation is increasingly causing Ghanaians to live in fear and that should not be tolerated.

Professor Opoku-Agyemang said this when she commiserated with the bereaved family of a businessman, Akwasi Banahene at Mim in Asunafo North of the Ahafo Region. Mr. Banahene, a timber contractor and staunch member of the NDC was shot and killed by unknown assailants last Friday when he returned home from work.

Professor Opoku-Agyemang, briefly suspended her campaign tour of the Ahafo Region to visit the bereaved family.

She observed that it was absolutely devastating for a breadwinner to be killed in such a gruesome manner.

The NDC Vice Presidential Candidate urged the security agencies to do more to protect citizens and safeguard the country’s stability.

Professor Opoku-Agyemang was accompanied by, MP for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, a former Minister of Health and Deputy Campaign Manager of the party for the 2020 elections, Alex Segbefia, MP for Asutifi South, Alhaji Collins Dauda, and Regional and Constituency Executives.
