Flagbearer of the NDC, John Dramani Mahama has accused government of destroying small-scale mining under the pretext of restructuring it.
According to the former president, government has rather seized concessions and excavators of the miners and handed it over to District Chief Executives and party people who are seriously engaging in small-scale mining.
Addressing NDC supporters at a mini-rally at Subin in the Upper Denkyira West district while rounding off his central regional tour, the former president said a future NDC government will return seized excavators and concessions with the right documentation to their owners.
