The Ga Traditional Council has withdrawn any recognition of Naa Koowa as Queen Mother. This follows insults she rendered, for which the Baddoo Family of Abodam Kpatashie required that Naa Koowa Omanye Aba retract. In spite of persistent efforts to ensure she retracts her statements and render apologies to the paramount Chiefs of Abola and Sempe, she never did. The family subsequently disassociated itself from her disrespectful behavior.

The President of the Ga Traditional Council, HRM King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, Ga Mantse therefore withdrew her position as Queen Mother following Section 63 (C), Act 759 of the Chieftaincy Act 2008- which makes it an offense to deliberately insult or use disrespectful language towards a chief or traditional ruler by word of mouth or conduct.

A directive by the Ga Mantse notes that, additional penalties will apply for each day the offense persists, if Naa Koowa persists in committing such offenses.
