The Inspector General of Police, James Oppong-Boanuh has promoted 237 Junior Police Officers of various ranks, in accordance with provisions of the Police Service Regulation 2012 C.I.76.
Seventeen (17) Inspectors were promoted to the rank of Chief Inspectors; sixty four (64) Sergeants as Inspectors; ninety (90) Corporals to Sergeants; sixty (60) Lance Corporals to Corporals and 6 Constables as Lance Corporals.
Ninety three of the newly promoted were administrative while the remaining were restored promotions due to various procedural reasons.
