A Regional Coordinator for Caye-West Africa, Bernard Takyi Oduro has alleged that most of the Ghanaian players sent for the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) this year were players of the current Ghana Football Association (GFA) President, Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku who was elected in October 2019.
He made this revelation on The Headlines on the GTV’s Breakfast show.
Mr. Oduro Takyi stated that the current football played by the Black Stars in Cameroon before their exit was a platform for some people to market their players and blamed the GFA President for including most of his players from his team to the AFCON.
He alleged that most of the players that didn’t perform well were from Mr. Okraku’s team.
He added that Coach Milovan Rajevac from the beginning was a disaster because he is overaged and had been axed from different countries.
He concluded by saying that as a country, ”we should be able to pay people less and expect more from them”.
”If Coach Milovan Rajevac has been sacked, some players and GFA Executives should be sacked as well,” he noted.
