All set for NPP Presidential Primary today despite concerns over voter’s register

Director of Elections and Research of the New Patriotic Party, NPP, Evans Nimako, says all relevant stakeholders have been engaged for a successful presidential primary today.

He said among persons expected to take part in the exercise are members of the party such as polling station executives, electoral area coordinators, constituency executives, regional executives, National Council members, Members of Parliament, MMDCES, ministers and members of external branches.

More than two hundred thousand delegates of the NPP, will be taking part in the presidential primary, which will be taking place in 288 polling stations across the country.

In an interview with GBCNEWS, Mr. Nimako, said polls will open at 7am and close at 2pm, adding that persons who will be in a queue before 2pm will all be allowed to vote.

Mr. Nimako promised the exercise will be free, fair, smooth and credible.
