The Agreement was signed by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, and his counterpart, H.E. E.P. Chet Greene, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Trade and Barbuda Affairs. It allows citizens of both countries to travel without visa restrictions, thereby strengthening bilateral ties and fostering deeper cooperation.

This marks the 10th visa waiver agreement secured for Ghanaians since Mr. Ablakwa assumed office as Foreign Minister.

He noted that the Mahama Administration is committed to enhancing the value of the Ghanaian passport, improving the travel experience of citizens, and boosting trade and tourism opportunities.

Mr. Ablakwa described the development as a milestone in reconnecting Ghanaians with their brothers and sisters in the Caribbean, while also projecting Ghana’s image in the international community.
