General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Kodua Frimpong, has formally petitioned the Party’s National Disciplinary Committee against Mr. Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye DC, over conduct described as harmful to the image and unity of the Party.

‎In the petition, submitted on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, Mr. Kodua outlined a series of actions by Abronye DC which he said amounted to defamation, misconduct, and gross indiscipline.

‎The petition accused Mr. Baffoe of insulting Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong, a senior Party member, with a derogatory remark that “even the elephant has more wisdom than Hon. Agyapong.” The statement described the comment as defamatory and damaging to both Hon. Agyapong and the Party.

‎Mr. Kodua also dismissed as false and malicious an allegation by Abronye DC that the General Secretary had deliberately concealed a report recommending the expulsion of Hon. Agyapong.

‎The petition further stated that Mr. Baffoe misrepresented the contents of a disciplinary committee report by claiming it catalogued offences against Hon. Agyapong. This, the Party said, was a serious breach of confidentiality and an attempt to undermine the authority of the Committee.

‎The NPP is calling on the National Disciplinary Committee to conduct a full and impartial inquiry and apply appropriate sanctions in line with the Party’s constitution.

‎“The Party remains committed to fairness, discipline, and the protection of its democratic values. Accountability within our ranks is non-negotiable as it safeguards the unity, integrity, and credibility of the organisation,” the statement concluded.
