The Minister for the Interior, Hon. Muntaka Mohamed Mubarak, has announced that the nationwide recruitment for the Police, Prisons, Fire and Immigration Services will now start on Monday, November 17, 2025. The exercise was originally set for November 15.

Speaking at a press briefing in Accra, the Minister said the two-day adjustment will help the Ministry re-strategize and decentralize the process to make it more efficient and better organized.

The entire recruitment will be done online, but people who do not have steady internet access can buy application vouchers from Ghana Commercial Bank and Ghana Post to assist them in applying.

To avoid overcrowding at the various centres, the Minister announced that 1,000 applicants will be screened each day — 500 in the morning session and another 500 in the afternoon.

He added that the recruitment will be done in phases, with each security agency taking its turn. This is to ensure order and smooth coordination throughout the exercise.

The press briefing was attended by the heads of the Prisons, Fire and Immigration Services, along with a representative of the Inspector-General of Police (IGP).
