The Member of Parliament for Krowor and Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Dr. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, has disbursed cash and essential working tools to about 400 beneficiaries under the third batch of the Krowor MP’s Business Support Programme for 2025.

The disbursement exercise took place on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at the Nungua Bus Stop, and targeted organised groups and individual small-scale business owners, predominantly women and young people, who form a critical part of the local economy within the Krowor Constituency.
The support package included direct cash assistance and productive equipment such as industrial and hand-driven sewing machines, deep freezers, hair dryers, tricycles, and other essential tools. The items are expected to help beneficiaries expand their businesses, improve productivity, and enhance their livelihoods.

Dr. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, in her dual role as MP for Krowor and Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, said the programme is anchored in the belief that economic empowerment of women and young people strengthens families, creates jobs, and builds resilient communities. She explained that the Business Support Programme goes beyond the provision of funds and equipment, representing hope, opportunity, and a sustained commitment to inclusive and sustainable economic growth in the constituency.

The Minister expressed gratitude to all stakeholders supporting the initiative and encouraged beneficiaries to make prudent and productive use of the resources provided to achieve long-term impact.

She reaffirmed her commitment to enterprise development, self-reliance, and inclusive growth, noting that continued investment in small businesses remains a key driver of economic empowerment and improved living standards in the Krowor Constituency.
