Maltiti Sayida Sadick, multiple award winning Broadcast Journalist with GBC and co-host of GTV’s Breakfast show, also a leading social entrepreneur and development advocate from Northern Ghana, has been awarded Rising Star of the Year 2025 at the prestigious Northern Woman Awards by Dinbian Magazine, in recognition of her outstanding contributions to maternal health, youth empowerment, and tourism development in the northern regions of Ghana.
The award celebrates her impactful leadership through Maltiti Care International, an award-winning maternal and community health organization, and Let’s Go North, a fast-growing initiative promoting tourism while equipping young people with digital skills for financial independence.
Championing Maternal and Community Health
Through Maltiti Care International, Maltiti Sayida Sadick has led interventions focused on improving maternal and child health outcomes in underserved and rural communities. The organization which launched its ‘Nurture Box’ initiative at its maiden Maternal Health summit this year aimed at supporting vulnerable expectant mothers with essential childbirth items works closely with women, and community health stakeholders to promote safe motherhood, access to basic healthcare education, and advocacy for women’s wellbeing.
Her work has helped raise awareness about maternal health, adolescent health and career guidance challenges in Northern Ghana, while supporting vulnerable women with education, referrals, and community-based outreach. Maltiti Care International has gained recognition for its grassroots approach, community trust, and commitment to saving lives through prevention, education, and early intervention.
Driving Tourism and Youth Digital Empowerment
Beyond health, Maltiti is also the founder of Let’s Go North, a social enterprise that highlights the cultural heritage, tourism potential, and economic opportunities of Northern Ghana. The initiative challenges negative stereotypes by showcasing local destinations, history, and creative industries.
A key pillar of Let’s Go North is Digital media influence Bootcamp skills training for young people, particularly women and marginalized youth. Through workshops, mentorship, and hands-on learning, participants are trained in digital marketing, content creation, branding, and online entrepreneurship—skills that enable them to earn income, tell their own stories, and achieve financial liberation.
