Entrepreneurship continues to be recognized as a key driver of economic growth and social development in Ghana, with small businesses playing a major role in job creation and community support. Experts note that SMEs form the backbone of many local economies, while also contributing significantly to efforts aimed at reducing poverty and improving livelihoods.
Against this backdrop, growing numbers of entrepreneurs are not only focusing on profit-making but are also increasingly supporting the poor and needy in society through charitable initiatives, affordable services, and community-oriented business models. It is in this spirit that Elroya Luxury Brand and Gift Shop has officially opened at the Dansoman Market in Accra, combining business development with a strong social responsibility focus.

The Chief Executive Officer, Madam Elizabeth Ampomah, says the business was established to inspire young entrepreneurs to build ventures that create both economic opportunities and positive social impact.
She noted that supporting the needy, widows, and vulnerable groups remains a core part of the shop’s vision, adding that entrepreneurship should also serve as a tool to uplift disadvantaged members of society through accessibility and fairness in pricing.
Madam Ampomah explained that Elroya Luxury Brand is structured as a one-stop retail outlet offering a wide range of products including wristwatches, shoes of all kinds, men’s and ladies’ fashion wear, children’s clothing, toys, perfumes, bags, and assorted gift packages.
She added that the shop also provides catering-related items and household essentials, ensuring that customers can access a variety of goods conveniently under one roof.
According to her, customers will benefit from promotional packages such as discounts, free gift wrapping, bonus bags, and special offers designed to make shopping more affordable for all categories of buyers.
Madam Ampomah further encouraged young people to embrace entrepreneurship, emphasizing that businesses can thrive while still supporting the poor and contributing to community development.

The opening of Elroya Luxury Brand and Gift Shop adds to the growing number of socially conscious businesses within Accra’s retail space, reinforcing the role of entrepreneurship in driving both economic empowerment and support for the needy in society.
