Ghana’s Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia escaped unhurt in an motor accident on Saturday, February 16, 2019.
The accident occurred around 6:30 pm on the Takoradi – Cape Coast highway as he was returning from the Annual Maulid of the Prophet Maohammed hosted by the Office of the Western regional Imam.
The driver of a commercial vehicle which was also involved in the accident however, passed on.
According to GBC’s Western Regional correspondent, Marie Aziz Tunde, some other passengers and security persons injured had been conveyed to the Central Regional hospital and are responding to treatment.
